Street Smart

Street Smart arrived in our gym today 🚦

It is a Green Schools workshop for our Travel Flag. Thanks to everyone who continues to travel in a green & safe manner to school.

This Road Safety Authority visit brings road safety to life in a fun way for primary school children. Using a pretend streetscape mat and props, children are invited to carry out everyday road safety tasks.

With StreetSmart children learn from their own experiences and those of their classmates through a series of activities such as:

*role playing and dress-up

*storytelling

*road safety games

*interactive road safety Q&A game.

StreetSmart is designed for three distinct age groups: 4-5, 5-8 and 8-12 years, with a combination of interactive activities suitable for each age group @rsaireland

Our 3rd/4th Class & 5th/6th Class did workshops today and the younger classes will be taking part tomorrow @greenschools_travel

*Please remember to use the school roundabout as a drop off point only so that the school bus can get in safely - if you are staying for longer than a quick drop off, please use the carpark*
