Delighted to see such great coverage from the Grand Opening of our Sensory Room, Kara’s Haven, at Barnaderg NS last week The Tuam Herald🥰

The space helps students with sensory processing challenges, offering time for self-regulation during the school day. Using a sensory room promotes inclusivity, ensuring that all students, regardless of their needs, can thrive in a supportive setting. When children have space to regulate & become calm, it benefits the learning experience for every pupil.

Any child could experience a time when they are feeling anxious or go through a traumatic time and would benefit from sessions in our Sensory Room.

Thanks so much to @helenmcentee & @peterochefg for joining us & making the day so special. We are very grateful to Olivia Rooney for all the fundraising that she did and to our community for supporting the plan so generously 🤗
