How lucky are we to have Barnaderg Castle (The O’Kelly Castle) on our doorstep? 3rd-6th Class walked down the road to the castle beside our school today and explored the flora and fauna there by the turlough. We spotted an egret flying around and saw lots of fossils in the rocks. The falcon that lives in the castle was nowhere to be seen today so we went right up to the building to explore. We saw the special window that is on our school crest. Thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas Jumper Sale and the Book Sale, as these sales paid for the nature expert, @gordondarcynature visit 🏰 @greenschoolsire
He helped us to write poems & draw pictures inspired by the castle.
